The
Bug Lab
Invertebrate
Museum
We
have recently moved to #28 - 6th Street, New Westminster
directly behind Starbucks on the north side of Columbia Street
(less than one block from our old location)
Visit
us in our new location!
The Bug Lab Invertebrate
Museum is an educational facility for those who are interested in bugs.
When you visit The Bug Lab you become a Junior Entomologist, a scientist
who studies insects. Students and bug lovers (adults too) trade their
coat for a lab jacket and a clipboard and study the bugs in the lab. We
have insects, scorpions, spiders, millipedes, centipedes and other bugs on
display. New bugs are on display all the time! We also have
preserved specimens and a great gift shop.
Friday
afternoons we often have bug story time, join us for a story in the
museum.
printable coupon of $1 off your next admission to The Bug Lab!
The Bug Lab is
independently owned and operated.

| Directions |
|
| From #1 Highway |
Take Brunette Avenue exit WEST (not towards
Coquitlam, take the exit sign that states "New
Westminster".
When you exit you are now on Brunette Avenue heading west, go
through the lights at Braid and Brunette Avenue.
Brunette Avenue merges with Columbia Street at the next traffic
light and the road naturally turns left (or west). Continue to
follow this road, you are now on East Columbia Street heading
west.
Follow this road for about 2.5km towards the Patullo Bridge, the
road curves under the bridge and now you are on West Columbia
Street
Turn right on Sixth Street, we are immediately behind the
Starbucks that is on the corner of Sixth Street and Columbia
Street. |
| From Alex Fraser Bridge and Richmond |
Go over the Queensborough Bridge, get into the right
hand lane as you are on the bridge. This lane naturally exists
right and when it exits, the road is no Stewardson Way.
Follow Stewardson Way (the Skytrain route is on your right hand
side) for about 2.5km.
Stewardson Way becomes Columbia Street, get into the left hand
land because the street splits and you want to take Columbia
Street
Turn left at Eight Street, drive up the hill to "Carnarvon
Street"
Turn right at Carnarvon Street
Turn right at Sixth Street, you are very close to the Bug Lab (the
location is in the next block), so park along the street. You will
see the sandwich boards on the sidewalk. |
| From Vancouver Area |
Marine Drive east - drive all the way to the
Queensborough Bridge (don't go over the bridge). Get in the lane
that states "Stewardson Way".

Street parking is available. The cost is $2.50/hour and the

half a block, Carnarvon is perpendicular to Sixth Street). Free
