Group Rate Admissions (8 or more people)

Group rates are for daycares and care centres that have fewer students but would still like a discounted rate to the Bug Lab. Group rates include admission to the Bug Lab, lab coat and clipboard worksheet, games and in-house activities. Group rates do not include a presentation (minimum 20 people for a presentation).

Admission $6 per person (including all applicable taxes)

Craft Add-ons for students

You may want to add a craft activity with your group rate. This extra activity is completed in our presentation area and requires an additional 1/2 hour of your time (in addition to the time you spend visiting the museum). Choose one of these craft activities for your whole group.

  1. Dreamcatcher (suitable for Grade 3 and up). Learn about First Nations dreamcatchers and make one to bring home with you.
  2. Dragonfly ornament (suitable for Kindergarten to Grade 3). Learn a cultural story about dragonflies, the meaning of the dragonfly, and make an ornament.
  3. Bug catcher (suitable for Kindergarten and up). Make a bug catcher that you can use to catch bugs in your parks, backyards and gardens. Learn about catching insects, respect, observation and the importance of letting insects go back into nature.
  • Half an hour is needed for your group to complete the craft. We will reserve the presentation area for your group to complete the craft.
  • Crafts are $1.75 extra per student (including tax). 
  • The whole group does the same craft activity, no exceptions.

Terms of Group Rate Admission

  • Minimum 8 people
  • Deposit required of $48 (8 people admission); if more than 8 people visit, the balance is due on day of visit. If less than 8 people visit, no credit is issued. Deposit is non-refundable.
  • All participants pay group rate (including adults).
  • Coupons do not apply.
  • Group rate bookings must be booked seven days in advance to qualify for the discounted rate and such that we can have extra staff available for your visit.
  • If your group includes children two years and under, you must have a minimum ratio of one adult per two children under two years old.
  • Minimum one adult (> 19 years) per seven children.
