The Bug Lab accepts unwanted invertebrate pets. We do not sell, trade or buy invertebrates to/from the public. You will not be compensated for donating an invertebrate pet to the Bug Lab.
If you have walkingstick insects, cockroaches or other insects as pets and do not want these animals anymore, please do not let them go out in nature. These animals are tropical species and should not be released into our environment. There is a small chance they could become established in our environment, and this creates an imbalance in our natural ecosystems. Further, it is advisable to dispose of eggs, excrement and cage substrate by placing in the freezer for a minimum of one month.
Please contact The Bug Lab by phone prior to bringing in any pet invertebrates that you cannot keep any longer.
